A short story collection for the Endeavour Award. I wanted to like this book. I liked the author, Ken Scholes, first novel Lamentation - quite a bit. And even though I liked the followups to that series less and less - they were still pretty good. This book on the other hand had few redeeming features - it had a good forward and a nice afterward explaining something of each story. And the titles of the stories were great - but the stories went from silly to stupid to over-the-top to ridiculous with just a couple being somewhat nice and interesting. Don't bother reading. 2.5 of 5.
