Read this along with an online book-club-esque community. I'll give it this: It is unlike anything else I've ever read, it is very creative, and generally semi-interesting.

It is also completely not my kind of book, ranging from offensive to disgusting to utterly nonsensical most of the time. There are cool concepts buried in there, and I'm not mad or upset I spent time reading it. But it's definitely my least favorite book I've read in quite some time.

However, I see many people on Goodreads that have given this book 5 stars, and there are those in the book club-esque community I'm reading with that love it, so I'm thinking this comes with a huge "your mileage may vary" tag, and if you're more of a horror fan, it might be more for you.

It's kinda hard to describe this book as anything other than batshit crazy.
But it was a good, an interesting and an incredibly well written batshit crazy.

This one didn't do it for me.

I didn't find it funny (except the bratwurst part) and I didn't find it scary or gory. Mostly it just felt like David Wong was trying to hard to be funny and scary.

I didn't like the characters, who I found were just annoying and stupid. I thought soy sauce was a ridiculous and corny name for a drug that messed people up so bad, and while I commend the author for originality, I didn't like the monsters/creatures.

I didn't like the plot development and I foudn the narrative too hard to follow. It seemed like David Wong tried to cram too much bizarro into this book, and I like bizarro.

I struggled to finish this one.

Unfortunately not my kind of humor. I wanted to enjoy the book, but it's just not for me. The plot was slightly chaotic as well so it was hard to keep going.

This book is for someone but it's not for me. Was going to DNF but I hate doing that so instead I spent like 2 months chipping away at this thing. 2 stars instead of 1 because I finished it so I must have liked something about it.
