Chibiusa had a great character transformation in this volume,
The space-time travel was a bit weird. You have got to do it really well to pull it off and it has been done countless times, though when this first came out it maybe hadn't?
Some characters look really similar to others. It really struck me in this volume.
Just brushing over 900 years of not letting your daughter know you love her,
If aging is supposed to slow down, shouldn't Usagi have beeb pregnant for decades? xD
That Chibiusa x Mamoru gave me the creeps,
Still overall I can't hate it because Sailor Moon has a place in my heart.

I wrestled with this one a LOT. I'm a huge anime/manga fiend, so I'm used to some oddities in manga that can usually be chalked up to cultural differences. Being seeing Chibiusa
Spoilertransform into Black Lady and smooch her father, Tuexedo Mask, was all kinds of weird for me.
But the ending was so, so beautiful - it is not an easy five stars, but the swell of emotions that rose in my chest when I finished this volume can't be denied.

Unlike a lot of people, I really love Chibiusa (in the manga) - I can totally relate to her. She feels so inadequate compared to her mother, and it's said that Neo Queen Serenity did not show her a scrap of affection. She felt more at home spending time with Pluto in the dark void... how sad and lonely she must've felt!

And while I hate knowing that NQS was not an affectionate or warm mother, it humanized her and her current incarnation as Sailor Moon.

I think the manga's biggest strength is the feeling it portrays - when reading, you can't help but feel this sort of dreamy melancholy. And all of those feelings metastasized in this volume - into betrayal, hurt, anguish, despair. But in the end, Sailor Moon and Tuexedo Mask and Chibiusa were able to overcome it all.

I'm totally aware that this review is rambling and most likely makes no sense - but hopefully it conveys the emotions I felt when reading this volume! I think this is one I'll always remember.

This one felt much darker, which I really enjoyed. However, the whole Sailor Moon and Chibi-Usa tension was odd. I hope that this volume was the last we'll see of that.

Lo que me encanta de Sailor Moon es que cada tomo que pasa, la historia se pone mucho más interesante. En el anime me había gustado mucho la historia del siglo xxx, pero en el manga esta mucho mejor desarollada.
