The Dive

This is a fun getaway story of expats living on a lush island of Thailand. They’re a motley crew from different countries and with mysterious backgrounds, all working at the same resort…where lately, tourists are winding up dead. There is one scene that happens under the water, and it was chilling!!! Makes you second-guess any future willingness to go scuba diving

Should you read this book?
Yes, if… you want a twisty thriller with a dynamic cast
No, if… you don’t like the unreliable/amnesiac narrator trope or an epilogue that opens more questions/reveals a final twist

Not exactly what I was hoping for. While the constant unraveling of the twists had me shocked occasionally, it was still pretty slow to get through. The book could have done with some more editing and the characters needed to be just a little bit more consistent. I felt like they flip-flopped on a dime, which as a reader, gave me whiplash. The twists at the end came all at once, some genuinely shocking.
