This was fine. I didn't get invested in it all and had a hard time caring about the characters or the plot. The twist at the very end and the ending as a whole were pretty good and made up for some of my boredom, though. I also didn't really love the writing; it wasn't bad, but it made it harder for me to care about the book. Overall, not that great, but I might read more from this author since it was a debut.

Wow. Twists galore. Almost so many that it just seems insane. Mostly it was a good murder mystery on a resort island. Both female main characters had some weird ass motivations for their actions and I just can’t help but think they are almost as screwed up and wrong for what they did as the “villain” of the story. I just can’t get behind trying to get revenge on a girl who happened to be at a party when you were raped by a guy, and you don’t want to do anything to him? And while I’ve not personally taken Xanax, I’m pretty sure it doesn’t cause half the things it does in this book.
