I didn't reread the synopsis before I picked up this book.

So yeah. I had no idea what was going on. But bonus - that helped me relate to the MC because she had no idea what has happening either!
I did, however, figure it out before she did.

Molly Pierce loses time. She'll suddenly find herself in a different place hours later than it should be. She thinks she's going crazy.

One day, she "wakes up" to find herself driving. A boy on a motorcycle appears to be trying to catch up to her, and in his hurry to rush through an intersection his tire is clipped by a passing truck.

This boy that Molly has never seen, who is lying in a puddle of his own blood as his life slips away, seems to know who she is.

And it is this event that sets in motion a course of events that will change Molly's life.

And I am glad I got to take that journey with her. I don't necessarily agree with everything that happened in the book (I loved Mabel and Sayer together), but I understand why it had to go the way that it did.

Hard to read endings are sometimes the best ones, for reasons.

Molly blacks out a lot. She wakes up not remember what happened for the past day or hour or minutes. It is always different. When she sees someone die before her, she starts remembering some of her blackouts.

This book was a little confusing at times for me, but then again, Molly was confused most of the time, so that would make sense. I think the problem is that the author squished too much into this story that it felt rushed in the last hundred pages. They should have made it a little longer than what it was. There was one portion where the spelling of a word was incorrect, which is probably an editing error. Although I felt emotions of the main character well while reading this, I don't believe there was enough filled in for the reader to understand as there should have been.

I can't say much about this book because I try to keep my reviews spoiler-free.

I picked up this book because it sounded good. Well looks can be deceiving. This book is boring. Molly really had no voice and Mabel…Mabel who?. I hardly really heard her come into the story. Everyone else was uninteresting as well. I was surprised by the amount of language used in this book. The beginning chapter seemed to use the “f” word in almost the whole chapter. It was after I was about a third of the way done with this book that I realized my feelings were not changing and I was just going through the motions. I gave up on this book.

I swore I already wrote a review for this book, but I guess not. This was a very interesting and different book. I wish I had written my review after I read it as it would have been more accurate. I was sucked into this book and couldn't put it down. Very different from anything I have ever read.

As someone with undiagnosed dissociative issues like talked about in this book I found the concept of the book intruiging - because I've only ever found non-fictional pieces of literature on the ever-hard-to-diagnose DID. It took me a long time to get through this book (had to renew it from the library) because every so often something would happen in the book that made me have to stop, close my eyes, and ground myself before I lost myself; but overall I am very glad that I got through this book. It was a delight to read and I would highly recommend it.

This was a fast read! I read it in a couple hours on vacation, while keeping a friend company while he did work. Molly has a secret – for the past year, she’s been losing time. She will just come to, somewhere else, not knowing what had gone on. The book is about Molly trying to uncover her own mind and find out what’s been going on. Some reviews compare it to Memento, but it’s not that involved or gritty. I feel there was one major loose end, but overall an interesting, gripping short book.

"A tilt-a-whirl of a first novel, a breathtaking thrill ride that takes you in one direction and then spins you off in another, over and over, keeping you guessing with every turn of the page." - Michael Thomas Ford.

Wow that quote on the back of the book says it all. Once I started to read this I could not put it down. I went into the book without knowing anything. It's not very often I can finish a book in a day.
