Of the graphic novels I've read in this series, this is hands down my least favorite. While the story was interesting and makes a good point about unreliable parents and parents going through divorce, the Mallory plot line feels rushed and unresolved at the end. At the beginning of the novel, Mallory mentions an accident that happened while she was babysitting that was not preventable. All of the existing members are very judgmental of her and condescending because it happened "on her watch" without offering what they would have done differently. Later, something happens while Dawn is babysitting that is MUCH WORSE than the situation with Mallory. No one ever apologizes to her for their earlier behavior, which I found very off-putting.

The main plot of this book was enjoyable, although I'm not sure if this will find as wide of an audience as some of the earlier books. The problems in this may affect children who have divorced parents differently than those who don't. Overall, while enjoyable, this was not my favorite installment of this series.

I used to love this graphic novel series and this just adds to the series. I love the drawings and stories.

Amazing book!

In the fifth graphix of the BSC, we get to meet up with Dawn. Slightly different from the others because there are new illustrators, I still really enjoyed this book. I love how these have been reimagined and brought to life.

I've been dropping everything and reading these on my phone the second I get them digitally from the library and it's honestly so much fun. So much nostalgia.

I loved reading the babysitters club when I was a kid and I love these graphic novels.

I loved the Babysitters Club - the books, the tv show, the movie and even the “Little Sister” books. It broke my heart when the library got rid of them, especially because they were weeded because no one was reading them anymore. Well, now adults that read them as children are coming in looking for the books for their kids and are surprised to find out that we no longer have them. The graphic novels are a perfect solution to this problem. Kids love them, probably because Raina Telgemeier wrote the first four and her books Smile, Sisters, and Ghosts are all big hits. (I loved all of her books, too.) So I was excited when I saw that a fifth BSC graphic novel was coming out. I’m not going to lie, I was also disappointed when I saw that a new author was continuing the series. However, I gave it a chance (mostly because the art was similar and Telgemeier endorsed Galligan).

Dawn and the Impossible Three was just like reading the original series. It definitely fits the modern audience while being loyal to the original story. Honestly, it made me want to go back and reread the whole series. Instead, I’ll just rewatch the movie - it’s more realistic time-wise - and recommend the graphic novels to the kids that come into the library.
