A mostly enjoyable look at one of Henry’s kings I know the least about. It is heartbreaking to read about a woman in such an abusive relationship who doesn’t even have the language to see it that way.

This book was an amazing read that I thoroughly enjoyed. It was a heavy read in size and content, but Alison does an amazing job of flushing out the characters especially Katherine as she gives her point of view justice

The story of Catherine of Aragon is almost entirely historically accurate, which surprised me. However, it lacks the ingredients for an emotionally investing story. Furthermore, it is a bit disappointing that Anne Boleyn is so villainized, although that could be explained due to the story being told from Catherine’s point of view.
