I really do love Sophie Kinsella. Her books are such fun, easy reads, and her characters are all so likeable. They never pretend to be perfect, and they make me laugh. So the plots are never overly original, but they're so entertaining that you just don't care.

My Rating: 2.49 Stars

Since my last SK book wasn't so stellar like TUG or entertaining as I've Got Your Number, I didn't expect much from this book. I just wanted to be a pleasant read.

But I was proven wrong. Again!

I didn't enjoy the first half of the book. Though it was filled with humor, I couldn't appreciate the jokes because laughing or ignoring the fact that someone is suffering from amnesia isn't funny to me. This made me dislike the story.
However, I enjoyed the second half of the book, which was hilarious. There were a few instances where Lexi cracked me up. This was typical SK magic I was looking for, and I'm glad to have found it in this book.

Though this book deals with pretty serious topics, it kept everything light with sarcasm and humor. Lexi's sister and colleagues deal with her callously and bluntly. They keep forgetting that she has amnesia and makes her feel bad about it. People try to manipulate her memories and try to take advantage of her situation, often.
Her husband was at least making an effort to help her gain her memories. But he couldn't see that she wasn't happy with him. He had no clue about the real Lexi. The only person who knew her personally was Jon, with whom she has an affair. There goes my only likable character.
While I liked him as a person, I wished he wasn't the other guy in the book.
On the whole, this book is a blend between The Undomestic Goddess and Can You Keep a Secret. If you enjoyed reading them, you might want to pick this up.

And Kinsella did it again. I love her books so much!

Cute, funny easy.

The ending was predictable, obviously, but it was funny and a fast read. I'm still biased towards the Shopaholics series, but if you liked the other Kinsella standalones, then this would be worth picking up.

I only liked the last 10% of the book.

:/

Vremenom, sklapa određene kockice u celu priču i uzima svoj život u svoje ruke.
Nemam šta specijalno da dodam, osim da ako volite romantične komedije, nećete pogrešiti sa ovom knjigom.

I wanted to like this book more, it was really adorable and a genuinely nice story. I do believe it took a while to get into the juicy story line, but when it hit, it was a nice flow. I absolutely loved the character Jon and his ultimate devotion. I believe he could even had his own story from his point of view :)

Over all, I wouldn't recommend this if you're looking for a story to WOW you, but if you're looking for a gentle read, it's definitely for you :)
