The heroine of this story- may she be called that- was certainly not a strong female lead, but it's hard to blame the author for that. The character did just have major head trauma and is suffering from amnesia.

This was definitely an entertaining read as she struggles to figure out what relationship she has with her husband and with the man who mysteriously shows up and claims they have a much different past together than what the woman is willing to believe.

This was a decent book, missing two stars only because without the two men there would not be enough personality in the main character to carry the story. If you haven't noticed, I can't even remember her name!

Ok me gustó.

I try really hard not to discard books before finishing them but sometimes, I just can't take it. This is one of those. The writing style is nice and tight with good dialogue and description but the plot snails along with little development. I just want to shake the main character and smack some sense into her occasionally. The whole helpless thing drives me nuts. I kept waiting for the story to pick up, for SOMETHING to happen. After half way through the book it was still dragging and I just had to put this down.

I know Kinsella is quite popular and there are lots of people who would like really enjoy this book. I'm just not one of them. I couldn't identify with the main protagonist and the plot and pace were slow, slow, slow and too boring.

Transparency is for governments, and pantyhose, you hope. Read the whole Shopaholic series instead. Becky is much more engaging and lovable than this girl. Or just watch that sitcom with Christina Applegate (for the record, I haven't seen it, but I bet it's still better than this book, and much less work to watch.)

It was a sweet read but the characters could be so annoying (especially Amy).

I loved this book when I read it, but it now not the kind of book I would read, but I can still appreciate it.

You could say that I began reading it with high hopes, but at the story went on, I didn't feel much excitement over reading just how posh her life was, how confusing it was to lose memory, and the confusion of why her friends hated her.

This is definetely one of my favorites from Kinsella, I felt like I was in another world and I wanted to know more and more as I was reading. I wish it was longer and I want to read it again, and that's exactly how a good book should make you feel. I really hope this won't be made into a movie because The confessions of a shopaholic and Can you keep a secret? were a disaster compared to the books. I just love the unexpectedness of the plot, I recommend it if you like a little bit of magic on a good written book.
