I am a total sucker for chick-lit, and I’m even more hopeless when it’s British chick-lit! Sophia Kinsella (well, Madeleine) knows how to make me smile, and I adore her for that. “Remember Me?” was truly charming, and it served as an excellent afternoon read for me.

If you’ve read the book description, you know that Lexi, our main character, loses a chunk of her memory after crashing her car. The manicured Lexi of today could hardly be recognizable as the struggling Lexi of the past. Even though she doesn’t really know the person she is in present day, Lexi is committed to embracing the empowered, successful, and MARRIED woman that she now is. Buuuuut it’s difficult to step into your new life when you’re still stuck in your old one. As Lexi meanders her way through her life with her handsome husband, new job, change of friends, and other twists that arise, she learns that maybe the old Lexi wasn’t so bad after all.

This is a really entertaining book, and while it is mostly fluff, the novel also manages to make us ponder the more important things in life. If we got everything we wanted, would that really make us happy? If we had a chance to make a new start in life, how would we use it? So, if you’re in the mood for something light that also manages to sneak in some depth, I recommend “Remember Me?”!

The first book I've read by Kinsella outside of the Shopoholic series. I loved it. Lexi isn't as annoying as Becky can sometimes be and the agonies that Lexi goes through seem more adult. Assuming anyone ever had amnesia that blocked out the last 3 years.

Jon was by far the hottest of her male characters to date. I love Luke from Shopoholic as much as the next girl, but Jon...yummy, a little snarky and did I mention hot. Some of the interactions between Lexi and Jon were just so sweet I was completely absorbed.

The story was a bit slow to start but I got sucked in when we met Jon. I fell for Jon immediately. I felt he was genuine and hurt when he realized Lexi's amnesia. Her relationship with Eric was so cold and sterile so I could not have been happier when she realized it for herself. To have a man like Jon love you enough to keep their 'children' alive.. it gave me butterflies. I genuinely loved this book. Sophie Kinsella does not disappoint.

Cute. Super-quick read. Quite enjoyable.

Another cute Sophie Kinsella book!

I give this book 3.5 out of 5 stars.
