Another stellar Inspector Armand Gamache novel. I loved learning so much about the art scene in Montreal.

I think I must go back and read the first novel. I liked it but didn't fully understand what the author was trying to do. It'll be a joy to see it from my new perspective.

In this seventh installment in the series, Inspector Gamache investigates a woman strangled in Clara and Peter Morrows' backyard on the night of Clara's solo art show. This is a fabulous series, but it must be read in order from the beginning since much of the character development occurs over multiple books. Read if you enjoy: cozy mysteries, small villages, Quebecois settings, strong character development
