I confess to missing Beatrix Potter's illustrations. But delighted to find this new book by the famed author over 100 years after she wrote it.

This story was so weird, but I'm not really a Beatrix Potter fan. I read this book because I really enjoy Quentin Blake's work.

**Update. My copy of the book came with an audio book read by Helen Mirren. Listening to Helen Mirren read the book was way better than actually reading the book.**

A fun new addition to the Beatrix Potter collection, but not quite up to her other published works. This one needs a bit more work before the story would match the quality of her other stories. Also, although the illustrations are complete, Quentin Blake is not my favorite illustrator. Its too bad Beatrix didn't have the illustrations for this completed.

Poachers meet bad ends. Kitty has been poaching. WHAT WILL HAPPEN? (Don't worry, it's victorian but it's not THAT Victorian. Our main character doesn't die.)

Extra points for excellent illustrations and a cameo by Miss Tiggy Winkle.

I didn't love this as much as the classic 23 books I read as a child (and am slowly collecting), but it's so nice that this was finally published and illustrated!

The great Dame Helen read this story to me and I loved it. I used it to guide me to slumber every night, so I've listened to it several times over. Funny enough, I didn’t dream about cats.
