A book I've had since I was a teenager, finally read it and skims through the immense subject of English history.

Review - I think that this book is interesting as it covers all of the key aspects of English history up to England's relationship with the EU after World War 2. The images are all very interesting as they're not dumbed down into cartoons, but are real historical sources. It is clear and easy to read, but I do in some ways wish that there was more detail. However, I understand that this was not really the point - it was supposed to be an overview to get you interested and encourage you to read further once you finish this book. I have to say that this has succeeded for me.
