I was lucky enough to receive an ARC from the author.
I'm sort of sad it's over. I swear with each of Micalea's books they get more and more intense. And I love it! Talk about a roller coaster of emotions, of the best kind. Bennett was the perfect combination of cocky and sweet. And Grace was the perfect compliment to him. It's like they were made for each other, to bring the hidden side of them out. Weather that side was good or bad, haha. I think they should have had to work a little hard to get over their obstacles at the end, but hey I guess that's just the type of people they are, and what makes them perfect for each other. Dying to see whose story is next :)

The topic of this book is girlfriend of convenience. To clean up his image, Bennet proposition Grace to be his goody two shoes girlfriend. It starts with a friendship and yes it build up to romance. I am not a stranger to relationship of convenience. I even like some of my romance with this topic. So the blurp and the story is very promising. Very promising even though I never read from this author before.
What is lacking on this book is the character chemistry. The chemistry between Bennet and Grace is flat and forced. I mean, it take Grace no time to agree to Bennet's proposition without thinking about it. And in exchange of a lesson on how to be a dirty girl in dating. The plots are bit out of place. I feel like eating food that is just keep piling without really enjoying it.

The Game that Breaks Us by Micalea Smeltzer was a great read. I loved the characters and the story – lots of chemistry! This was the perfect book to sit down and get cozy with, and I definitely would recommend it to my friends
