I had followed Nathan Chen through 2016 or so onward as I love Olympic Ice Skating and try to watch the seasons leading up to any Olympic games. That said, I'm not quite sure there was quite enough material to make a whole book out of the experience. It was interesting and he seems like a genuine and hard working young man, but also very basic/interview level text.

3.5 - quick and easy read. Found it a bit simplistic but enjoyed it as a fan of Nathan.

As somehow who's been following Nathan's career since 2017, I was so excited for this book. Sure it could be a little simple or bland at times, but that didn't bother me at all. It's so cool to be able to see someone's life from the outside and then suddenly look through the key hole. Nathan has always been my favorite skater, and watching his journey has been incredible. Reading this now it hurts to know how much he struggled, but it also gave more meaning to the challenges he faced, and the things he achieved.

I like to read about skating but this book is really intended for children.
