This was a very well written story. Got a little crazy and far-fetched for a bit, but it was all good. That far-fetched section made for great humor in the book and lightened up the story.
This book again features Natalie and and Colin. Although, this book is most Natalie and little Colin. We only see Ali and a grimace of Jena, Natalie's friends, but we meet a new character Svetlana. I liked Svetlana, she was quite the character.
Ms. Peart had me very captured from Chapter one all the way through to the end. I didn't even realize I was at the end, until I read the words "The End" and my screen wouldn't move to the next page!!
This is the second book in the series, I have enjoyed both books; this is shaping up to be a great series!

3.5 Star Review

The story starts with Colin explaining in his POV, the tragic past he had with Faith. Shortly into the book, Colin goes out of town and leaves Natalie free to get into all kinds of trouble. There is the crazy stalker guy named Razor, the Russian gang member's girlfriend, Svetlana and her kitty, Lenochka.

The continuation of Almost Matched is even more entertaining, except for Colin explaining his tragic past. That was very heartbreaking. I was looking for more between Colin and Natalie but this book was more about Natalie and her adventures. I look forward to reading the next book in this crazy funny series, Almost Too Far.

RATING 4.5
After reading Almost Matched I was eager to start Almost Broken Up as I wanted to see exactly which the direction the author was planning to take with this series. Before I go any further, I must admit that I found this to be a more entertaining read than Almost Matched. My judgement may be a bit biased in his instance due to my love of stories that have an element of suspense and drama.
Almost Broken Up started out with Collin’s POV, which gives readers an insight as to the guilt that Collin has been living with since that fateful night when his former girlfriend was killed in a motor vehicle accident. It made Collin appear more human and it made it easier for me to connect with him.
Almost Broken Up does is not so much about the relationship between Natalie and Collin but more about the lengths that Natalie will go through to protect her man. Two new characters were introduced, one of whom will pose a threat to Natalie’s relationship with Collin and one who will offer her help in dealing with this threat.
There were moments when I questioned Natalie’s sanity, especially when she made the decision to face the person who had threatened Collin’s life. I say this because it was clear that this person was absolutely crazy. But I guess when you are in love and you have faith in your partner’s innocence, then you will be willing to face any situation no matter how dangerous to protect him. It also helps when you have the girlfriend of a mob boss helping you out.
There were several LOL moments. I found it to be rather hilarious, especially that scene where Natalie, Ali and her new found friend, Svetlana, engaged in a little B&E. I am not going to say much about this as I don’t want to give the story away. To find out what I am speaking about you will have to get a copy for yourself.
The sex scenes between Natalie and Collin was quite erotic. It’s definitely not for the feint of heart.
The author’s writing style is quite engaging as it pulls the reader in and makes them feel as if they are a part of the story.
Overall this was an enjoyable read. Recommended for readers 18+
