LISTEN! I love bridget but rhys makes me mad… and there isn’t even anything specific, but I don’t like him! AND ONE MORE THING that almost-incest plot line came out of nowhere and should’ve stayed in the drafts
➜ hero - Rhys Larsen was the epitome of grumpy, serious, and someone you didn’t want to mess with. Initially Rhys and Bridget kept butting heads and couldn’t go long without arguing with each other, but as the story progressed, you could see the attraction between them growing, and Rhys softening a bit when it came to Bridget.Rhys drew me in more, and left me intrigued, wanting to know more about him. I love how possessive and authoritative and almost primal Rhys was when it came to sexy time and Bridget was all too happy to oblige.
➜ heroine - Bridget despise Rhys from the moment they lay eyes on each other. Bridget is not the type of girl who just bends to anyones will. She likes her freedom and being able to live her life. So when her hunky new bodyguard starts laying down the law and setting rules for the princess to follow things get icy.The way she fought for her, indeed a true queen.Bridget came a long way from being just a princess and I would say despite all the problems she was faced with, she managed to come out stronger because of them. Bridget was a strong woman already to begin with, but by the end of the book she was even more of a force to be reckoned with.
➜ overall review - I loved absolutely everything about it from the age gap trope, princess and bodyguard trope, the romance, the passion, and the twists! Absolutely a must read and by far the book didn’t disappoint at all.The passion between Bridget and Rhys was exhilarating and… WOW! Absolutely left me jaw dropping to the floor, and maybe a little flushed haha. The spice in this book didn’t disappoint and Bridget and Rhys’s connection was amazing.
