3.5

Good writing, characters, and spice. This series definitely gets into some taboo areas for the relationships that can feel icky. The plot was a little predictable in this one.

Romanticizing pedophilia doesn't make you a good author 💀
Do you realize she was 7 and he was 25 when they met ? They wrote to each others for year and he even said at some point that he viewed her as one of his kid.
“Ten years waitin’ for you to grow up so I could do this." I'm sorry but this isn't something to say to someone you know from the age 7 and that viewe  as one of your kid for a moment 💀
This is so wrong. I am all for age gap but this is disgusting. She was underaged and he was 35  when they had sexual intercourse. Making her obsessed with him doesn't mean that this relationship is right, that she knows what she is doing, she is 17, a teenager. He is an adult who shouldn't view her this way and the fact he even said it,make me realized that the author knew very well what she was doing. People who liked the book, did we read the same book ?

Minus 50 stars
I don't mind age gaps but not when one is a teenager and the other is in their mid 30s
Yucks idk how this book was published nor how anyone gave it more than 1 stars
Mmc is a freaking pedophile grooming a girl he saved when she was 7 and he was 26 , saying how he was waiting for her to grow up 💀💀 then when she was 17 and him 36 they got sexual.
Some of his dialogue and inner monologue made me sick to my stomech like
" the years waiting for you to grow up just so i can do this " then he kisses her
And " and i needed this i needed to see this girl i'd wanted since before it was legal " 💀
" what does it matter if lou was her age in number if not in maturity "
 Spoken like a true manace
and i only powered through the book for the review because wtf was that
He has a kid who's older than her ffs, he said his ex wife and all the women before her were mistakes, nah bruh your existance is the mistake here

I can’t believe I actually finished this book! This book was so hard to finish because of it’s dark themes. First, this book features Pedophilia!  This book is about grooming and child molestors. I went into it thinking that it would be a traditional age gap but it is not. The characters first meet when the girl was 7!!!! I like dark books but this is just way too much. The male character gets off on the fact that the girl is an underage child. She does all the little girl things such as “sucking on a Lollipop” which is constantly brought up. During sex, the male character calls her “little girl” and that I could not stomach. He is very clear that he’s “loved her since they met” when she was 7! Mind you, when they finally get together the girl is still 17. I don’t shame anyone but I cannot stomach this kind of thing. I couldn’t  think of these scenes as “sexy” they just made my stomach turn. Would not recommend unless you are truly into “Dark and Twisted” romance, not just getting into it.
