This was a really adorable, cozy read and a nice change of pace. I liked that this is a standalone that is an appropriate length. The number of pages allowed for the plot to finish without rushing or going too slow. I loved the realistic cast of characters and that most of Belle’s friends and family were older. In particular, I loved Arty and his entire character arc. There were parts of the plot that felt very familiar and sweet to me - the necromancy bit especially - and I found myself really relating to Belle. She was a sweet protagonist, and while her self-doubt became a little irritating, it was balanced well by those around her. I will definitely be checking out this author’s follow up in the series.

I loved this so much! I feel like I relate Belle so much. I feel like this book healed a little something in me all while being hilarious. I love the found family and cozy witchy vibes it was chefs kiss! I want to know what happens next! I feel like a need a second when to see what happens with the evil sisters, the future of the coven and Belle and Runne’s romance !!!

Belle is a thirty year old teenager and is just insufferable and honestly does not deserve the second chance.
