Modern, fierce, spicy, beautiful. Powerful women and hot mess men. An immersion into Lagos.

Each individual story is good, but there's too many because the theme gets super repetitive. Actually couldn't bring myself to read the last 3 in the collection.

This was easy to get through and an entertaining read for the most part. I wasn’t expecting the amount of erotic content that was in the book, but didn’t mind it. Although, sometimes I felt that  the sexual scenes made the other parts of those stories feel a bit hollow.

This was a quick and funny read. I liked getting a glimpse into the 'madness' of Nigerian men. I didn't like the repetitive tropes: man and woman fall in 'like' and enter what the woman thinks is a monogamous relationship until the man breaks her heart. It also had a lot of sex scenes and they usually followed the same pattern too. In general, the anthology would've benefitted from better editing.
