The book started out so strong with the characters and dialogue, that when it devolved into nothing but action after action scene, it was a big disappointment. I also thought the development for Logan at the end was, to say the least, disappointing. Still, I'm glad I read it prior to Guild Wars 2 coming out. It adds to the lore and game experience.

Really interesting read if you are into Guild Wars. Lots of lore and explain some event in the game. The cast of characters are charming and quirky. The second part of the book all seem to happen really fast without much of a challenge though. But it is an enjoyable read The ending is a bit of a downer
The writing was iffy, but I liked the plot. eta: by iffy I meant it honestly felt like the author was writing for middle schoolers/younger children, with the occasional SAT vocab word thrown in for seemingly no reason except to give the illusion of more complex writing.
The plot was good though, compared to Sea of Sorrows; it moved faster. Honestly, I wouldn't have kept reading it if it weren't for the fact that I'm really into playing Guild Wars 2 at the moment.

A bigger improvement from the first book, which seemed random and strange compared to this. I enjoyed this one, the battles after a while got exhausting to read but the character interactions were better and faster, the story was better than the first.
