Wow! Just wow!

A fast paced thriller based on the Slenderman case from a few years ago.

Every time I thought I had an idea who “Mr. Interested” is, plot twist. The ending will have you saying “wtf”.

Mister Tender’s Girl was such a great read. While Alice is working to figure out and unravel who is stalking her and who is really behind everything bad that has happened to her, you’ll be guessing along with her. The entire book takes place in the span of about two weeks. In those two weeks, Alice unravels pieces of her past, her life is turned upside down again, and she meets with the twin girls who stabbed her and left her for dead 14 years ago. In order to solve all these mysteries in her life, Alice must use sayings from her late fathers made up bedtime stories from her childhood.

Who is stalking Alice? Who has been taking photos of her? Who saved her that night 14 years ago? Who can she trust, if anyone?

Holy page turner, Batman. So many plot twists and turns. The suspense had me staying up late so I could read more, especially once I got to the third part of the book. It makes you wonder what one would do in a similar situation. I was so worried when Alice went to visit the twins. Jack was so creepy, he made me shudder with disgust. Did not see what happened with Brenda coming. Hope Richard turned out to be a good guy and her brother Thomas is able to turn things around. Would love to see a sequel. I feel invested in these characters at this point. I look forward to reading other books by this same author. Thanks Bookishfirst for the free copy to review, just hate that my dog spilled tea on my copy.

Mister Tender's Girl🍒🍒🍒🍒🍌
By Carter Wilson
2018

"Alice, what did the penguin always tell you?"
If you get the sudden urge to start trusting someone, be smart and do away with it.

Alice Hill was only 14 when she was viciously stabbed and left for dead in Gladstone Park by the Glissen Girl twins. The twins were obsessed by a cartoon character, Mister Tender, a popular graphic novel series created by Alice s father.
It's years later, Alice has changed her name, opened a coffee house and is beginning to really heal from her past......until she realizes she is being watched by someone who knows her very private past, knows her scars, knows her fears....Who is Mr. Interested??......what does he want??
Based on The Slender Man crimes, this is a true thriller.. it will keep you on the edge of your seat. It's creepy, It's absorbing. It's a fantastic thriller that will hold you in its grip until the end.....and stay with you long after...
Highly Recommended Thriller.

3.5 stars. It started out a little slow, but eventually picked up. The ending was a bit of a let down.

This book was all about giving me the creeps. It was such a good read and very hard to put down. I really enjoyed how it kept you guessing the whole way trying to figure out who the real Mister Tender was. It makes you think a lot more about what really happens to victims of violent crimes after everything's over and how it can affect their families, everyone in this book was so damaged and deranged.

I could not stop reading Carter Wilson's Mister Tender's Girl. I was given the opportunity to read a short preview via the BookishFirst program and was beyond excited to have won a copy of the book from them. Mister Tender's Girl is a fast-paced thriller full of psychological twists and turns, leaving both the main character, Alice, and the reader wondering who can be trusted until the very end of the book.

When Alice was a young teenager, her father was famous for having created a cult-favorite graphic novel series called Mister Tender, based on bedtime stories he used to tell Alice and her brother when they were little kids. He had no idea how popular the evil character would become, or that his daughter would almost lose her life because of him. Alice was nearly stabbed to death by two twin sisters, her classmates, who claim Mister Tender encouraged them to kill her as their price for fame. Alice survives, yet her family falls apart. Now that she is an adult and has since moved to a completely different continent, one would think Alice could finally move on with her life. However, her past isn't far behind her -- she is being stalked, watched day and night, as she is taunted with the darkness of her past. Who is after her? What do they want? And who is Mr. Interested?
