I really love this world and I think this is a strong conclusion as far as the story goes. I do think that the El/Orion romance needed some more time and tenderness to be believable

and catalyse everything!

though.

I also think this book was so much more ambitious in scope than the other two and it could have used more time to breathe.

My solution, for what it's worth, would be to include the events up to Orion’s rescue in book 2, which I think needed more plot, and then have this book start after that.

A lot sure does happen in this book. I enjoyed it as I was reading it but I think if I stop to think about it then the internal logic might melt a bit.
