Difficult to review. Honest and thought-provoking. Meandering at times, you could tell that the author had a lot that she felt she had to include whether it fit into what was around it or not.

It was a decent read and I really did like her prose. However, I found her insight about translation much more interesting than her commentary about the immigration system.

Fascinating and heartbreaking look at everything in the title. The meandering between topics didn’t bother me, but the second half of the book did feel too repetitive. An incredibly important book that was easy to engage with.
