J. A. Jace is a treasure!
I love this series! I like all of her books but this is my favorite. Sheriff Brady is a close second.

J.P. Beaumont is back in Nothing to Loose by J.A. Jance. This time he gets involved in a missing person case that hits close to home for him. His old partner who was killed by her husband a long time ago had two sons. One is trying to find the other. This is a harrowing case for the old ex policeman but he will not back down. Once again we get the fine writing of Jance and a gallery of characters that makes this story great. Filled with questions and answers in a suspensefilled ride.

I love J. P. Beaumont. This novel works to tie up some of his past life as a detective and allows him to face some of his nightmares.

I now enjoy three different series by J.A. Jance, but the J.P. Beaumont series was the first I had read. I started this series several years ago and am happy that it is still continuing. Beau is such a likable character and this missing person's case, which is personal to him, is interesting. The Alaska setting makes the story even more interesting. Some parts were a little predictable, but still an enjoyable read.

I read every one of JA Jance’s books as soon as they come out. While I really enjoy her female protagonists from other series. I had forgotten how much I like Beau Beaumont. As a retired homicide detective, he is like able and Jance knows how to develop her characters. It was a lot of fun to get to know Twink, the old woman who drives Beau around Alaska. She is one of the best mystery writers who makes her characters come alive.
