I will never, and I mean NEVER, like lena adams. Even further than that, I will never stop hating her.

I read the entire Grant County series 17 years ago, except for this book, because I happened to see a spoiler for the ending online, and I was like, nope, I cannot. Well, finally I had enough distance emotionally (I've done some personal growth) and decided I would actually read the last book. And I have to say, even knowing how it was going to end--damn, Karin, that was brutal. Ice cold. It's a good book, but I'm really glad I waited the 17 years.
Couldn't finish this book it was so terrible. Life is too short to waste time on this book. Yawn.

What an ending! This book answered almost all of my questions and wrapped up the series nicely. Lena especially goes through so much and doesn't get all of the answers she needs I think. This book made me feel more sorry for her instead of disliking her. There were a lot of emotions and development with the characters. Some twists that ended up making a lot of sense in the long-run.
*Pretending this book was never written while I give these characters the ending they deserve*
