Love this series! I was so disappointed in a way when the second book in the series ended the way it did. I really liked King Aodren and shipped him and a certain other character (if you've read the series you know who I'm talking about.). But, alas, it was not meant to be. Now enter Lirra. She is cute, feisty, resourceful, strong, and yet feminine all at the same time. She and Aodren work together to solve the mystery of a potion that is rumored to be a wonder drug, but is also deadly. As non-Channelers begin blaming Channelers for the deadly potion, the peace Aodren is trying so desperately to attain for Malam is threatened.

It took a little while for me to get into because there is a lot of tournament stuff which for me made the book drag a bit, but once the relationship between Aodren and Lirra begins to grow and the mystery picks up, the book is hard to put down. Great YA Fantasy with no sex, some violence, and very little if any mild profanity (no F-bombs and such).

It was fine. Just like the others. This was, perhaps, slightly more enjoyable than the other two previous books.

While listed as the third book of the Clash of Kingdoms series, this book is a bit different than the first two. Two main characters are not in this book. Instead, you get to know two other characters in a deeper way. I'm a little disappointed in how the book ended - with an epilogue, I'm guessing there is not another book coming. But I want to know how Aodren and Lirra are doing in Malam after the festival madness they just endured..

DNF at 140 pages in. The plot was interestingish but i just wasn't getting the sucked in vibe. And I've decided that moving forward if the book hasn't hooked me by half eta through to just DNF. Life is too short to read books that are boring.

To be completely honest, I was a bit underwhelmed with this conclusion to the trilogy. I felt like the plot was a bit of a stretch and not well connected enough to the first two books to really feel like the third and concluding part of a series. I think this could’ve been a stand-alone book or part of a separate series. While entertaining, I just did not fall into this book the way I did with the previous two.

Ah, my heart!
I loved being back in this world, even though we followed different characters. I had a harder time getting into this one, but once I did I flew through it just like the other books.
I thought it would be a 4 star read for me, but I loved the ending, it just filled me up with hope, with a love of reading again, and of stories. I loved it!

I loved this single book better than the story that came before it I loved Aodren and Lirra's story so much more. I loved the characters so much but I especially loved Aodren and Lirra I loved the slow romance they had it was not instant and that really payed off by the end it had the perfect ending. I loved Lirra her want to follow her dreams while also struggling with the things she has to do she finds so much more along the way. I loved Aodren for his want to change his kingdom and leave behind the darkness I also loved his strength of character so very much. I really loved the plot it started talking about a tournament and trying to change a kingdom for the better there is of course road blocks in the way of the change that kingdom needs the romance was great as well I loved everything about this book.
