A wonderful start to a highly recommended series. It was a bit slow to get into, but that's epic media for you. I do love the trope of re-telling your own story and the narrators adds are such fun Easter eggs to collect for future knowledge.

Not absolutely blown away, but very solidly enjoying. The ending felt a touch forced, but didn't take me out of story. Very excited for what the rest of this story shall bring.

An absolute banger to start the year with. Although I was a little bored for the first 30-40%. Christopher absolutely smashes the rest of it out of the park. Great pacing, awesome universe building, an a super interesting species of alien that hooked onto me in the deepest parts of my curiosity. I cannot wait to keep learning about them. And this being the first one I’m confident he is only going to improve.
