So this was a little guilty pleasure amuse bouche in between weightier novels. I was looking for some pleasant, entertaining, not too scary or too steamy easy reading-- and that's what I got.

Iris Scanlon is her high-school aged sister's legal guardian, so she has to make money despite lack of college education. She ends up as a daytime concierge for vampires after their great coming out-- picking up fake blood supplies, pet medicine, arranging flowers for weddings, etc. etc.

She maintains a cordial relationship with the local bigwig vampire Ophelia as well as some recently made vampires who own stores.

One night, she trips over a new client on the floor of his kitchen and has to take him in for security reasons.

If you're willing to suspend disbelief on many plot points (including a rabid over protective sister who won't let her date but will bring a vampire to her house just for money after being terrified of vampires) then you'll enjoy this. There's a bit of over-the-top steamy times, a pleasingly irritable vampire who nevertheless buys the little sister mace for her human date, a nefarious plot to uncover, and some interesting botany side bits.

Entertaining without really engaging too much energy for plot or characters. Besides some plot sketchiness, there's also some awkward scene progression at times. I can take it or leave it.-

Another fun book in Half Moon Hollow. Not quite as fun as the previous ones; Iris isn't my favorite character. But still loved the dialog, as always!

Nice read, I liked the interplay of both Iris and Cal with Gigi, it's nice when side characters are integral to the story and not only an excuse for the main characters to shine

I barely remember reading this. It's a quick read, I guess. But not as entertaining as Harper's previous titles.

I found it a bit darker than the first one in this series. I liked the light-hearted, funny as hell style of the other novel. Though I haven't read the original series from which this is a spin-off so maybe that's the usual style of novel.

Nevertheless, I found it interesting and entertaining. Nice plot, flowing action, great characters interactions, well thought-out mystery. Definitely a book I would recommend for those into this genre.

I love anything written my Molly Harper but I am not really into Vampire books. After enjoying a few of Molly's books and looking for more I found I had read all of the non-Vampire books and decided to give this book a go. It was really fun, just like her other books and I really enjoyed it.

++ I read this book in 2013 as my first Molly Harper book then read it again in 2016 and liked it just as much. I have since read all of Molly's book - Vamp, Wear, and human. I am happy to have her and her family of characters in my life.
