This book has been on my TBR list for some time, and I finally got around to picking it up. When I say that this book affected my emotions, I mean it. It felt like I had been gut-punched numerous times. The plot was so unpredictable that it kept me incredibly invested in the story and the characters.

That ending. Y’all. My heart broke all the way apart. I read the final 2 pages of the last chapter probably 5 or 6 times because it was so beautiful, so meaningful, and so tragic. I cry a lot at the end of books, but this one hurt a lot. I was rooting so hard for both Nate and Cam, but alas, we know that the ending was fair – as painful as it was.

“Two boys who will find themselves but lose each other. Two people joined by love: painted into the stars, protected by memory. God, they’re going to live forever.” FUCK, that did me in.

This story was heartbreaking, unique, and important. I immediately bought a copy of Zack’s newest book, Tonight We Rule the World. Bravo. This is one of the easiest 5-star ratings I’ve ever given, and one of my new favorite YA books of all time.

Fuck Lori. She truly is a cunt. Nathan was an asshole but I really felt bad for him and Cam. The reveals had me shaking. That ending was heartbreaking but I'm still hopeful.
