Wow okay Tracy Flick is me and I am Tracy Flick, such a bonus to discover there’s not only a prequel, but also two movies based on her story. I really can’t explain how much I adore this character and the GMHS universe

A strong follow-up to Election, taking into consideration many of the nuances of the changing landscape of the modern day. Tracy Flick's evolution between books is believable and well-characterized and the new cast of characters brings fresh perspective to Perrotta's original novel. However, the ending felt out of place in comparison to the rest of the novel; while not unrealistic, it almost felt a bit like a cop-out in terms of Flick's arc and a strange detour into a topic not otherwise addressed in the novel.

Flew through it. I’m looking forward to seeing how it’s adapted and how Reese takes on a middle-aged Tracy Flick.

Even more than Election, I loved seeing all the intertwined stories and minor anecdotes throughout the book. The middle-aged MeToo era reflection on high school, especially after reading the Tracy’s original story was so interesting. Loved it

Almost a group of many short stories blending together into a wider narrative. The characters are flawed, but I found myself loving each on them (with one exception of a 2 dimensional character).
