This book killed me. It was so good and yet there were times where I'd have to put it down to remain sane. I could never suggest this to anyone because of how heavy it is, but it is so good and if you can, read it.

I don't know what to feel. You don't want to go on reading but at the same time you cannot stop.

I have a lot of very confused thoughts about this book. It was triggering, disgusting, most of it felt like a slog through trauma and depression that the main character was unable and unwilling to deal with. But it also commented so beautifully on friendship and love, the small connections of one's life that make up the grander web of it. I cried like a baby. I also felt drawn, several times, to set it aside and never finished it. Idfk. My feelings for this are really complicated.
