This book is hard to rate because sometimes it was a giggling kicking my feet nerd book and sometimes I wanted to throw it at a wall. We need to stop doing third act breakups as a standard part of romance books. Third act separations will always be superior and the AU set up would've made it so easy to do one instead of an incredibly convoluted argument that requires Brenda and Kat to suddenly become the dumbest people alive and completely forget how to talk to each other. It's just as fun and fluffy as expected, but very predictable. I'd say I wasn't surprised by a single event or twist in the entire book.

Quickly, fun read. I liked the parallel universe even if not a new idea. Characters were mostly likable. I found the adults in the story quite flat, especially how they seemed to blindly accept the idea of a parallel universe. The ending kind of dragged on too.
