It took me almost a month, but I finished! I really did enjoy this installment (nearly as much as Murder Must Advertise). It's just that for some reason these books take forever for me to get through.
But there's something about how Sayers writes an ending. I don't know it is, but it always seems to work impeccably.

Didn't see that one coming!

If you like ringing church bells and mysteries involving ringing church bells, this is the, and probably the only, book for you.

My reading of this novel was enhanced by going back and forth between the print edition (for the spellings, especially of the names) and the audio (for the accents and pronunciations), as well as watching a few YouTube videos on change ringing. This is a complex mystery that unfolds slowly, with a cast of thousands (or at least dozens) and so many nuanced motivations. I enjoyed the story even though I'm not a fan of bells rung this way.

Oh, excellent. I didn't see that coming at all, despite lovely subtle clues.

This one's a bit mad, but I really enjoyed it!
