Plenty of twists and turns in this mystery. This one does not include Hastings which surprised me somewhat. Very intriguing and the author ones again draws the reader into the solving of the case.

I found the mystery in this book much stronger than in the other Christie I've read, Murder on the Orient Express, though one of the key elements of evidence was frankly outlandish (Who the actual hell would keep photographs around clearly marked, in your own handwriting, with phrases like "my dead mother" or "the woman who killed my mother"???? ). Poirot remains an annoying little man.
