the classic story that everyone has heard of. I loved all the sex jokes

I actually didn't like this book to much because love at first sight does not exist. I would never completely devote myself to a guy that I had only seen once at a party. even if I was thirteen. there is something strangely disgusting about their love, and I don't know why people like Taylor Swift want a love like Romeo and Juliet, I mean they die. yeah for each other, but they didn't really know each other long enough to know if they really loved each other.

I guess I'm just a skeptic, but reading about ditzy juliet and whiny Romeo did not make me want to fall in love any time soon. especially if it leads to my death. cool

This is the saddest thing I have ever read. It was so good and I can definitely tell why this has survived the test of time. Shakespeare really knew what he was doing.

My Advice to those reading this is NOT a love story. This is a tragedy, and it's best to treat it as such. Even if you do find it cringe (*ahem* Romeo)

That being said, this is a well-written play, but It's not my favorite of Shakespeare's work. I wasn't a big fan of it in 9th grade, and I'm not a big fan of it now. But I do understand the underlying messages once you get past all the cringy and comedic moments of the entire play.

Still can't believe that people think this is the greatest love story, but it was fun to read.
