For something I picked up at the library on a whim, this book was both informative and helpful for any individual who is curious about Borderline Personality Disorder. It was well organized, and written in an accessible way that makes it easy to read and understand. Although I have never been diagnosed with BPD, I found tips that will be helpful in my everyday life when dealing with my anxiety. Overall, I think this book will be a fantastic use to anyone who is curious about the disorder, but even better for those diagnosed and their loved ones.

Positives:

- She didn't leave out people with "quiet" BPD and mentions how BPD traits can differ when you have the "quiet" version, which I greatly appreciated.
- Very friendly, conversational tone.
- The most helpful section was the one with chapters on each of the BPD traits, not only explaining them but also giving advice on how to address them.

Negatives:

- Repetitive writing. I did a lot of skimming as a result.
- Lack of editing. I caught many typos, grammatical errors, and missing spaces, which undermines confidence in what the author's saying and conveys a lack of caring.
- Quotes at the beginning of each chapter were corny.

Overall, this book had a few helpful passages and interesting tidbits, and I liked the way she explained BPD, but I don't think it's a book that necessarily needs to be read cover to cover. I suggest skimming or skipping sections according to your need/interest.
