If I could give it an extra half star, I would. Unfortunately, I didn’t like it enough to round up to 4 stars.

It’s a fairly quick read (would’ve finished it sooner, had I read more consistently during Feb/march), but it did drag a little at the end. Also not sure how I feel about ghosts being corporeal beings.

I thought this was fun and spooky. Cycles of hauntings=cycles of abuse, etc. etc. The body horror at the very end was nuts though. I did not like the descriptions of those cops dying, they were crazy graphic. People who don't believe books can be scary should read that excerpt.

I enjoyed the audio book version of this. The mc had her funny moments in dealing with the pranksters. Her daughter was a little too much at first but towards the end of the book you could tell why she behaves the way she does. Ending I feel like dragged on a little bit but still good.

I really enjoyed this. The first half of this feels almost like a cozy horror and I loved how nonchalant the main character was about everything happening around the house. Like, oh yeah the walls bleed and my maid has a huge gory wound on her head and is a ghost but it is what it is 🤷🏼‍♀️. I love when books have this aspect of sonething that is strange to the reader is perfectly normal for the characters. It's really interesting.

I liked how this was overall written and everything that happened felt logical and flowed well. The ending was a bit rushed, but it still got everything it wanted to get across.

I really recommend this if you're looking for a different kind of horror! This would also work well for beginner horror readers.
