Didn't like characters or story line

I thought this was a decent read. Understanding this is a story based on real-life people, I'm not sure how much of it is true, but I think there are other authors that do historical fiction a bit better.

Oddly Perplexingly Enjoyable

I read this book uncertain if I liked it or not and wondering if it would ever come together. It did finally do so and the post-epilogue author commentary was helpful to put the story in context. I enjoyed reading it and honestly the ending is what brought it from a 3 to a 4 star book.

I enjoyed learning more about Beethoven and his time period, even though this was fiction.

I just couldn't get involved with the characters, and there was too much skipping over of things.

Falls Flat

what started as a fun read quickly loses energy and never has enough to keep you going. had to force myself to get through the second half hoping for a bigger pay off

Oh how I wish this was non-fiction instead of biographical fiction. What a beautiful story. The author kept me interested throughout and her style flowed wonderfully. Although at one point I felt the reveal of the sonata was premature, she managed to make me understand the timing as the book progressed.

I was drawn to this book just by the amazing premise it had. It just sounded really intriguing.
I did enjoyed this book, I devoured it fast but I do feel it could've been so much more. It's interesting but I will probably not remember it after some time. It could've been developed better.
