Barbara Havers takes the forefront as she helps to solve the murder of a Pakistani man. I liked the fact that George addressed the issue of prejudice (hidden and open) in this story. I didn't care for the seaminess, though. I love the characters in this series and have vowed to plow through the rest of the novels.
Characterization, clue-giving, and atmosphere are all on point.
