I didn't like any of the characters in this book...except maybe the dog or the baby. The wife is a doormat who is gaslighted by her husband who walks on eggshells around his psychopath daughter who returns after being MIA for a few years. Everyone's just insufferable and it's hard to get over how unrealistic it is. It also just felt incredibly slow for most of the book.

I was gripped to the storyline from the beginning but at about the halfway mark the story started to drag and become a bit dull. I absolutely hated a lot of the characters in the story which made it tedious to read.
The twist was a bit predictable but overall I did enjoy the book and it was definitely a quick, easy read!
