Honestly it was a few things, I loved the premise but not the execution. The ML just seemed to repeat the same things over and over when it was his turn at bat and the FL couldn’t describe anything except in an endless stream of pop culture references. BUT I jumped ship when there was the male lead wanting the female lead to agree to something during sex. That reeked of sexual coercion to me no matter how the text tried to dress it up. And, I guess I’m just not that much of a fan of ‘fated mates’ stuff in general so it takes a lot for me to get on board and that was just the last straw as it upset me. I’m also not a fan of men being domineering in bed to a submissive woman. Which, again, no matter how the text tried to dress it up as her ‘feeling powerful’, I just couldn’t see it.
