A beautiful collection of love stories, romantic love, familial love, friendly love, love for those we lose, love for those we hope to find again, love for people we don't know, love for the people we hope to know better. I've never read a single story never mind a collection of stories that truly explains what love is and what love is about, as clearly and understanding of human nature as this book does.

I looooved "Where They Hide is a Mystery" and "The Still But Falling World". This collection feels like it's mostly about grief and longing, which I guess are just other words for love. Very nice sentiments throughout.

this book was a sweet little thing to experience. each short story has a feeling of such pain yet such love and tenderness through hazy memory. maybe we are all just beings that wish to love and be loved guys woahhh

“Love reveals the beauty of seemingly trivial things - a pair of shoes, an empty wine glass, an open drawer, cracks on the avenue. My memories are arranged like puddles - they are littered throughout the present moment. It seems arbitrary, that which the mind remembers, but I know it is not.”

This book had potential to be something great but for me it basically just fell flat and became rather boring... 3 stars because I liked the concept for a few of the stories.

“In some ways, the ability to write is the opportunity to live forever, and to love forever.”

All in all I really liked it. There was just some of the stories that were a bit boring, while others were really good, which is why I decided to give the book 3 stars.

The title describes this collection of short stories so well. In this age of negativity and pessimism, I desperately need stories like these which remind me about human affection, the power of memory, the importance of family, and the minutia of private and interior lives. I highly recommend these stories of poetic and cinematic depictions of human relationships, dosed out with feeling!
