This was my first book by this author and it won’t be my last. I was hooked on Violet and Eli and I loved their back and forth banter. I understood Violet’s hesitance to be with Eli from the beginning, not just from childhood, but because she didn’t feel like she was good enough. Her dream was to leave their small town and she never saw that dream through, but he did. While Eli came back to town, it wasn’t for her. He quickly realized that there had been something missing from his life, and that was Violet. I loved Eli. I love when the hero of the book is such a good guy and so invested in his girl throughout the whole thing. This book gave me all the feels!

Leuk boek, alleen niet heel spannend. Zit niet echt op het puntje van m’n stoel te lezen. Loveble karakters wel en leuk concept met de beroepen van de hoofdpersonen. Veel detail in het verhaal
