Einfach nur genial, wie Ende in annähernder Echtzeit ein solches Abenteuer zusammenschreibt, dass kinderfreundlich ist und zugleich so viele versteckte Andeutungen und Gesellschaftskritik beinhaltet. Parallel zum Buch hatte ich mal in die Hörprobe zum Hörbuch, sehr lustig von Christoph Maria Herbst eingelesen, reingehört, und habe mir dieses dann gleich noch mit heruntergeladen. Er interpretiert durch seine Stimmgebung jede Figur noch zusätzlich ganz eigen, und obwohl ich es manchmal fast schon zu viel des Guten und zu schrill fand, wird es Kinder mit Sicherheit extrem begeistern und konnte auch mich gut unterhalten. Endes Bücher sind ohne Zweifel Klassiker!

This book is very nostalgic for me. I read and listen to it alot. It's a story about two animal secret agents (a cat and a raven) who have to spy on an evil Wicht and wizard (aunt and nephew) who they suspect are responsible for many environmental atrocities happening.
They are right and now they have to stop the biggest atrocity of them all.
Even tho the book was realised in 1989 it's still relevant and very well written. What I like the most about this book, is that it has a happy end.
The book is very well written, but Michael Ende is also a great author.
It's a great book for a quick read, because it has very simple language (children's book), and isn't that long.

I loved the tv series as a child. I really enjoyed this book, there may be nostalgia evolved but 5/5 for sure

Super süße Geschichte. Perfekt für Oktober, als Halloween-Read. Ich liebe die Geschichten von Michael Ende einfach. Zucker-süße Illustrationen von Regina Kehn. Ich habe das Buch teils gelesen, teils gehört. Das Hörbuch, gelesen von Christoph Maria Herbst ist absolut fantastisch. Kann ich wirklich nur wärmstens empfehlen.
