This book was harder to get into than the rest of the series for me. It was short but couldn't hold my attention.
holy crap. so. i read this book in like. a day and a half. it’s short, yes, but i greatly enjoyed it. it provides much needed insight into the life of levana, her motivations, and my personal favorite aspect, the childhood of princess winter. it’s wonderful, and i’m so glad i picked it up.
A very good book of retelling of Queen Levana and now I understand why the way that she is. Now just have to read the last book which is Winter and Stars Above and I'm done with the Lunar Chronicles. I don't have the graphic novels of the series yet. I'm planning on getting them.
Okay not 5 star material of course but the progression of Levana and her starting off personality and end of book personality were fascinating. The book shows how she became to be and boy was it an eye opener. I definitely recommend this even before the rest of the books - really puts things into perspective!

Well I knew that Levana was messed up but this was just sad to listen through but that doesn't mean i didn't enjoy the story.
