I quite enjoyed this story based around a baking competition, although I don't know why Storygraph has it labelled as a mystery thriller because it really isn't. It's a contemporary fiction about the lives of four women competing to be the New Mrs Eaden and focuses not just on their baking experiences but their personal lives. There is a fifth contestant, a man, but sadly we get very little of his story and he seems to be their mainly for a couple of the women to react to. Everyone was a little stereotypical and the ending fairly predictable but I still enjoyed it. It was an undemanding read and I really enjoyed the parts about the original Mrs Eaden. It was good to get her story too. There were some aspects though that I really didnt enjoy. I don't think I'd go out of my way to read another book by this author.
Graphic: Miscarriage and Cursing
Moderate: Sexual content and Eating disorder
