This was my first book by Louise Bay and I absolutely loved it!!! Right from the beginning I was hooked. I loved the characters, the setting, the storyline… I genuinely loved it all! I couldn’t get enough when reading, and had to force myself to put it down which considering the giant funk I’ve been dragging myself out of recently, that’s huge! I wish this series was complete so I could binge read them all, but I’m so excited to see who the next book is about!!!
Super cute and entertaining, this book features a runaway bride and the guy who returns to his hometown after many years away. Byron ran away from Star Falls when his father lost their ranch due to his gambling debts, and he felt he had something to prove about himself. Now he’s back, a millionaire, constructing a billionaire’s club on the outskirts of his hometown. It feels like he wants to redeem his family reputation. However, the towners are not applying for jobs at his resort.
Rosie fled to Star Falls, running away from a wedding that was pretty much forced on her by her mother, who saw her bridegroom as the meal ticket to a cushy life. She got a job as a waitress in Byron’s resort, she was a hard worker and was enjoying the freedom of gaining wages and taking her own decisions on her life.
Byron fell first and fell hard, but Rosie was hesitant. She didn’t want another rich guy helping her and making her feel obligated. Their back and forth, the suggestions she gave him regarding his relation with the town, her fascination with everything Star Falls helped him come to terms with his feelings about his town and start appreciating it.
This was my favorite part of the story, how each one helped the other with enlightenment: Rosey realized who she really was running from, and Byron realized the real reasons why he was constructing his resort here in Star Falls. I didn’t get a real sense of how much in love they were, the story didn’t feel all that passionate for me, more of an introspective look at themselves and how supportive they had each other’s back. I loved seeing the other billionaire guys from New York appearing in this book, with their wives. Lovely to see them happy and thriving!

Narrator Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
They did an excellent job bringing these characters to life. I felt their pacing and tone were perfect also. They brought forth all the emotions the characters were meant to draw from the readers. Absolute perfection. Jason as always did a perfect job bringing Byron to life as Samantha did also as Rosey.

This is Byron and Rosey’s story. I love their meet cute! Two damaged people who end up healing deeply embedded hurts and finding their way to each other.
This is a feel good book. It will warm your heart as you watch them fall in love and come to terms with their past.
A billionaire and a runaway bride who grew up in a trailer park. They couldn’t be more perfect for each other. He values her for who she is not for what she has or doesn’t have. She learns there are kind people who aren’t afraid to let her spread her wings and learn to fly.
When they meet all she has is what she’s wearing…a wedding dress, a hoodie with a broken zipper and a beanie.
A highly recommend this book. It is the type you don’t want to put down. The narrators voices did these characters justice and you fall in love with them as they fall in love with each other.

I loved this absolutely delightful read. Rosey and Byron were a definite melt your heart and have you swooning couple and I adored watching their story unfold and their feelings for each other grow. There is a wide array of emotions and feels in play here, so you can expect to experience some potent heartstring tugging as these two grow and overcome the baggage that they each carry. The narration was very done well, and it made this wonderful romance shine brightly.
FMC Rosey has an overbearing mom who expects her children to support her, because of this Rosey is marrying a well-off man in her little town because he is nice to her and has bought her mom and sisters a new trailer. He’s also Rosey’s boss. Rosey is hours from walking down the aisle and realizes she just can’t do it, and sneaks out of the hotel where she’s getting ready and runs. She ends up in a tavern in small town Colorado in her wedding dress. Also there that night is MMC Byron, local boy returned to town and billionaire. He’s building the fancy, exclusive Colorado Club just outside of town. Byron gives Rosey a place to stay and they have a hard time ignoring their chemistry. Rosey gets a job and the Colorado Club, none the wiser that Byron is her boss. Luckily the hidden identity doesn’t go on for too long. What did go on for a while is Rosey’s emotions and internal struggles regarding her mom and how she was put down, forced to turn over her paychecks, etc. Several times I was like “girl, you escaped. Good on you. Now move on and make your new life your own!” I loved how Byron supported her and I loved it when Rosey put on her big girl pants and went back to her hometown to sign the trailer back over to her former fiancée and told off her mom and let her sisters know she was there for them when they were ready for her to be their escape and refuge. This was Rosey’s Cinderella story and it was a good one.

Love makes life happen. From sweet to sassy, Love Fast is HOT. Bay makes the heart tingle and the senses sizzle with unpredictable emotions, irresistible characters and unforgettable romance. Byron and Rosey bring heart and humor full circle. Personality that lights up the canvas without any fear of shining through.
When I found Louise Bay, I knew after the first book I read I was an immediate fan. Love Fast is an interconnected standalone with a small-town romance plot that kept me hooked from the first page.
Rosey, a sheltered but headstrong woman, finds herself ready to run while almost at the altar. In her wedding dress and only carrying her identification and cell phone, she finds her way to an airport to escape a loveless marriage. The groom is nice enough, but she knows that she's been manipulated by her mother into marrying him because of his station in life and that she will not be happy, nor will he, if she marries him for how he can help her mother rather than for love. Byron, a man on a mission to prove himself to his small hometown, is building the Colorado Club right outside Star Falls, Colorado. With the death of his father, who experienced gambling disorder and wrecked his family's finances, leading to Byron escaping to school and New York before his father's untimely demise, comes home to show the town he is not his father. Ironically, Rosey's spur-of-the-moment flight lands her in Star Falls, where she finds shelter and solace in the cabin next door to Byron, deciding to stay in the town and work at the Colorado Club without knowing who the owner is, what the town expects from her, and if she'll even stay long. With newly found independence, Rosey's life crashes into Byron's, with his single-minded focus veering toward the beautiful stranger.
Love Fast is a small-town, (almost) insta-love, strangers to lovers, runaway bride, billionaire, grumpy/sunshine romance. I recommend this if you're into any of these tropes because Louise Bay is fantastic at weaving spicy, romantic stories!
I have a special place in my own heart for male billionaires characters with a gruff exterior but have the softest of hearts. I adored this small town romance featuring Byron and his newest employee, Rosey, a runaway bride. The plot moves fast and the character growth is refreshing. They help each other as they find themselves too—the romance and spice are an added bonus to the fresh start they both get to experience…together.
I had the pleasure to tandem read this with my eyes and ears, which I absolutely loved. I didn’t have to pause being in their world while my own real life continued on. The dynamic duo of Jason Clarke and Smanantha Brentwood voiced Byron and Rosey respectively, and they did such a great job bringing the characters, their banter and romance to life.
Thanks to the author and Hambright PR for the eARC and ALC.
