this is a total aside, but bizarrely i couldn't help but notice that caderyn always seems to make his entrance shirtless or naked in this book. i spent some amount of time puzzling over why but gave up.

This book definitely could have been longer; the ending was very rushed. However, I still loved it and am looking forward to book 4 coming out next month!

I have not only a 4th book to look forward to in the continuing adventures of Stone, but a new series set in Guarda and Yorbrook (part of the same world). Guys, and I don't say this lightly, Ryals has joined Maria V Snyder in fantasy writers that I want to read all books from.
